In my ongoing quest to straighten out a morbidly fucked-up body, my doctor and I are experimenting with various things, including some amphetamines he prescribed yesterday to give me energy and suppress appetite (not that eat much, but I guess the idea was that I would learn how to scale down to carrots and celery full-time).

NO I AIN'T TAKING THAT NO MORE AND YOU CAN'T MAKE ME AIIIEEEEEEEEEEEE

Everything was peachy for about five hours and I was Alerty McWorkistan. Then, the effects wore off and I had a bitch of a headache, horrible stomach gas, wanted to sleep, and ... cold arms!

The hell?

How do people get addicted to this? Or cigarettes? Shit, alcoholism is the only real thing I can get behind. Well, liquor and maybe narcotics.

I've always heard that's what they do but for the life of me, I can't understand HOW something that makes you go-go-go can also keep you from wanting to eat. You have to get your fuel from somewhere!
