Writer's Block: Dear Old Dad

Yeah, Dad's not the kind of guy you can do this sentimental stuff with - can't just call him up and lead somehow into "hey, remember when we watched afternoon cartoons together that year you were out of work, after I came home from school? That was great." Our conversations usually devolve into who's dead, who's recently died, how people and dogs keep dying the older he gets, and he wants out of his little town (which I can agree with that). No matter how much I make an effort NOT to let it happen.
Oh well. I can only do so much. At least I talked to him! :-)
