Writer's Block: If You Build It

Houseboat. Don't know the specifics, as they're pretty widely varied on design, but I prefer it over a solid-ground-foundation house that doesn't move. I wouldn't have to pack up my shit and pay people to carry stuff (or do it myself) every time I want to move, and I could travel extensively within the country while still maintaining a permanent residence to come back to (I've known people who rented marina slips and kept a P.O. box for mail and legal purposes in the city where they were mostly located). Plus, all the places I want to live and the places I've lived that I like are all along big waterways or tributaries.
Maintaining a land vehicle to drive around might be kind of a pain in the ass, but as I said, I'd probably still maintain a residence in one permanent location, for all intents and purposes. Elsewhere, I could take a bicycle or rent a car if I'm there only a few days. Whether a cat could live happily on said houseboat, and maintenance, would be the only big issues.
