Anyone? Anyone want to bet against me?

I'm willing to hear a more probable name. You probably know one.

Although, I'm actually more worried who McCain'll pick - as he is white, male, and "experienced," I'm sure he'll get it in November. Neither Huckabee nor Leiberman look very attractive.

Oh, and Lieberman?

*hisses*

Sayeth not the name, for it is vile in my sight! I was one of those stolid individuals who stood out in the rain during the Connecticut senatorial elections with big ol' signs saying "JOE LIEBERMAN VOTED FOR TORTURE." I particularly enjoyed edging up close to the "VOTE JOE" group and ignoring their dirty looks. Gotta love free speech. Well, what we have left of it.

Joe shot himself in the foot with his America-ravaging Zionism* long before the torture thing ever came up - it was just another black mark against him.

(I would refer you to my "introduction" post at the top of my journal wherein I explain the importance of knowing the vast differences between Zionism and and Judaism, so that one is not accused of holding an ill opinion against the second, just for disliking the political/geographical philosophy of the first.)

(No offense taken whatsoever - I understand the difference.)

As far as I'm concerned, the Military Commissions Act was the fucking Rubicon - anyone who voted for it is dead to me, politically. I would sooner move to France than vote for Lieberman or any of his ilk - I find the lot of them objectionable in a multitude of other ways, but that ... that was and will always remain unforgivable.

Oh, good. Believe me, not everyone realizes the difference. Most people don't seem to.

And, no previous democracy has lasted more than a couple of centuries, either ... *shrug* People forget why they have the chief principles in place that were PUT in place at one time.
