Title: Open Water

Summary: A Turner goes to sea
Spoilers for AWE: Most probably.


Each night, he’d fallen asleep to the box’s steady thrumming. It had been constant for seven years, since he traded the heartbeat of his womb for the reassuring wooden thunk of his father’s next to his small bed.

Now it swayed with him on the vast ocean. Mama said he couldn’t be harmed upon the sea. It had been simple to cast offshore in the rowboat while she and Captain Jack slept – to be free, like Mama wanted to be.

William ran a small hand over the top of the chest as he excitedly waited to meet Papa, at last.

Aw, go get 'em little Will. He seems to have much in common with his papa. And what a soothing (if horribly creepy to those without such other-worldly concerns) pacifier - better than a kitten.

I'm still sure Jack is not going to end up with Liz (as bed warmer or otherwise), but it's just my faith in TnT and Bruckheimer to conserve the unique moneymaker they have (in Jack the foot lose and fancy free).

And I love that icon. :D

I don't know - I'm pretty sure I'D rather have a kitten than Dad's heart in a box. And now I have images of Elizabeth hiding that box under the floorboards and after she has her fling with Jack, it getting louder and louder and LOUDER AND LOUDER AND OMG LOUDER until she has to rip up the floorboards ...

Ahem. Poe was crazy, too.
