why in general I hate American comics and cartoons as a opposed to general Japanese manga/anime

This whole thing is just an assassination of both Jack AND Elizabeth. They're better characters than that, their actors are better than that (as evidenced in the execution of those scenes, as opposed to how they're written for the comic), and it's just ugly.
