Since I've not seen World War Z the whole W.H.O. thing is lost on me, but I'm glad it's Peter Capaldi as I quite like him. He gives me hope of maybe tuning in for an ep of the new series, since I stopped watching around Matt Smith's 3rd ep. (I still wish they'd continued The Hour instead, though, but oh well, at least PC will be in a series I might watch again.)

And it was supposed to be #twittersilence day.

So far I've only read a few comments from people disappointed in the choice. A lot of older fans are happy because they think the "fangirls" will go away now that the Doctor is less desirable. Of course those people don't know the power of fangirls.

I found his Twitter too. Only 558 followers now. I wonder how long he'll keep it? Probably run by someone at the Beeb already.

I'm very excited to see what he will make of the Doctor. He has to take on all the previous personalities and amalgamate them.
