Sam likes to bug the crap out of her until she can take no more. The first time she ever hissed, his face was about an inch from her nose. He just laughed. Kids...
Aw, some pets can be very forgiving (or have been beaten into submission). I have a little kitty like that one, but Fate is the one treating her like your cartoon kid. (On top of her many other medical ailments, I just found out she has feline leukemia. *is sad* )
The vet tells me there is no cure and very little effective care. If she were in good health, she could expect to last about three years - but she's not in good health, so we'll just have to wait and see.
The vet suggested a veterinary school - I've already forgotten the name - that does research on the problem, but I'm not interested in making my kitty a lab rat. :/
Instead we've put her on Prednisone and we're watching to see if any nasty side effects crop up. We hope it'll get her eating a bit more (she's lost a lot of weight lately). *crosses fingers*
