Date: 2006-04-23 02:48 am (UTC)Nixon ... I've always kind of felt sorry for the guy. He didn't do anything previous presidents hadn't done, with respect to the spying on the opposing party. He inherited the war and except for Cambodia (which was a dumbass move), I think he actually did try to bring it to some conclusion.
But THIS crew right now - my GOD, I've never seen such blatant greed and evil and arrogance. I've been trying to figure out for a while what would stop these assholes, and all I could come up with was if enough people banded together and refused to pay income tax. If enough people did it, there wouldn't be enough cops to arrest us, or prisons to hold us. (Of course, the problem with this is most people have it automatically deducted by their employers, so it would fall to people like me who have to keep track of and pay my own employment taxes.)
