Just try to get it past the Senate, motherfuckers.

Come on, poor people - we can't afford much, but we CAN afford to vote most of the House out in November. It's a free activity.

They should also add in this vote if they don't get their work done, they don't get paid. Their indecion and indecisiveness costs all of us money.

Mostly I agree. Although, I do recognize when some legislators are actually trying to do something to help the populace and others are cockblocking them to play games. In this case, I sure wouldn't mind seeing the mandate reformed, but the entire thing repealed? The House GOP is banking on the voting public being dumb enough to NOT see the benefits this legislation provides to their poor asses, even flawed (i.e., coverage of adult children to 26, no exclusion for preexisting conditions) - and they might be right, who knows.

+100

I wish more people paid attention to this stuff. Instead, we have a misinformed populace that votes as a reaction to the economy. And doesn't want to pay taxes, although they still want government services.

Exactly. If my taxes are going toward things I'm using and are good for everyone, I don't mind paying them.

Isn't that a funny thing. I recently learned that Supreme court Judges aren't on the panel for life, but for as long as their conduct is good.
And that the people have only enacted an impeachment of a judge, even though we could potentially throw any of them out because the rule isn't what we were taught.
This is why some people put down our founding documents, because of all the little "lies" we're told. I think if more people knew exactly what the Documents said, we could make the government actually do what we wanted instead of the other way around.

Anyway - yes. Free. yay. :)

The Republicans make me sicker and sicker.

Help, I NEED Obamacare!

I do love how everyone has taken back the word Obamacare. The Republicans labelled it to speak against it, but now it's come back to haunt them.

33 times. WTF??? They're paid to beat dead horses?

I just do not understand what is so fucking wrong with trying to help people.

Oh right Republicans, ie conservatives, only want to help themselves. Democrats, ie. liberals, want to help others.

The legislators' objection has nothing to do with what the mandate might cost individuals - they're focused on what it might cost private employers, and trying to eradicate that. Just like the only reason they "gave in" on extending the payroll tax cut was because the less FICA we pay in, the less companies have to pay too for their match.

The modern elected GOP has one type of constituent it cares about, and it sure as hell ain't these people voting for them to stay in.

The only reason I dislike Obamacare is that it forces me to get insurance I can't afford.
I don't have a job, hence I don't have any money that could be put towards insurance.
That and I dislike when I am TOLD I have to do something otherwise face a penalty when I'm penniless.
If I had a job, and money, I understand this, but I don't. So I think that rules is stupid.
