I'm sorry, but - is this just not the picture of a couple of dads at work? LOLOL

I'm probably one of only 5 people in North America who wishes they'd be cast as Rachel's dads on "Glee."

I think all four are aging pretty well, myself (especially Chris here).

This could possibly be the only thing that would make me watch Glee again.

And aww, they are rather lovely! Despite various reviews I read of BtE, I personally think CB has aged better than CC.

The funniest shit I read on BTE was a comment that seemed, in all seriousness, to be criticizing ... Chris? Doug? The universe? CGI artists? for Rimmer's aging. I guess they thought Rimmer had been played for years by an actual dead hologram?

Hee, more than that, HAD THEY NOT BEEN WATCHING THE ACTUAL SHOW? Because we all know S8 Rimmer looked pretty much identical to S1 Rimmer... right?

Well, shit, S5 Rimmer didn't even look identical to S1 Rimmer. He was just a wee lad of 28 when he started; men tend to age noticeably in their early 30s, in my observations.

If you can suspend your disbelief to accept the RD setup and the existence of holograms, I don't see why a physically aging one would be so hard to accept. It's probably programmed into Rimmer's software to age at the same rate as his companions.

And as has been said several times already, they all look good for their ages. :)

Nat and I have figured for a while he can adjust his appearance and stop aging if he wishes - after all, he's more or less immortal and can corrupt his image to change his hair, clothes, etc.

I'm sure he could change his appearance to seem younger if he really wanted to, but obviously didn't in Series 6 and 7. I wonder why not?

The real world explanation is obvious, but an in-universe one would be interesting.

Rimmer has always wanted to fit in. The four of them have made their own little group, and have skewed themselves in more or less the same direction. They are aging. To not age would be to not fit in.

That's a pretty plausible explanation. Ill-matched though they are, the others are all he has. And despite everything, I think he did like the fact that they accepted him; he just couldn't say it.

I hope it turns out to be "our" Rimmer in Series X. :)
