You know, I'm like, shit-faced drunk here, but truly that is part of the glory of writing. The exploration. Not all it needs to be publication worthy. To me that's what is so unique about fanfiction. The ability to explore a character. And yeah, I've gone on and on about how I feel some writers lose their way and this exploration becomes a mess, but, you know, it's all okay. I truly believe that just writing it all out has value. Now it might not hold together as a piece, but who is making money off of fanfiction? This should be a place to explore what we are doing with words. Which I why I NEVER post negative comments on someone's stuff. Their commetary, sure, is up for grabs, but the act of writing itself is an experiment and more power to anyone who has the gumption to put it out there. That's not saying that I will follow it to the bitter end, but I applaud anyone who takes the time to explore a set of characters and just get to know them. That is invaluable.
