I believe progress is inevitable and that it's better to try to smooth the path of it rather than stifle it. The planet itself - the universe - is not unchanging. It is progressive. It bends. It stretches. It breaks. It reforms itself liberally, with or without the approval of human beings or any other animal.
Face it - if you're not sitting in the fire-less, dark outdoors picking your feces out to eat for recovered nutrients, you're a liberal. Have a good cry and get used to it. ;-)
