Ennui, I think. Malaise, if you like that better. Because not feeling like doing anything is a hella worse than almost anything else.

I wouldn't have thought of that, but yes, exactly. I think Ennui is deeper than malaise and having been there it is a helluva lot worse than about anything else. You have gone past weeping to immobility.

I opted for anxiety. Probably because (for me it) tends to lead to malaise and ennui, those things that keep you from enjoying, really living, your life.

For me: anxiety, hands down. I has waaaaay too much of it these days. Better yet, I'd like to eliminate the major sources of said anxiety . . . well, not eliminate, but alter drastically, since some of said sources are living, breathing people.
