Any POTC & Trek fans in here?

For you POTC and Next Gen fans ... how do you feel about the possibility Jack Sparrow is perhaps a Q-ling, or even a Q who doesn't KNOW he's a Q (like Amanda - which seems possible in speculation given his quest for immortality)?

Think about it: Despite falls, injuries, and DEATH, Jack doesn't die permanently or even get very hurt. He figures out quickly enough how to get back to the world of the living, once he has a way off the sand with his ship in AWE. His luck is almost preternatural. He's fabulous at manipulating those around him, but very few end up actually wanting to hurt or kill him.

Captain Jack Sparrow as a Q. Thoughts? Ideas for possibilities? Discussion? Pies in my face? *G*

How'd you come up with that one? I LOVE it! (But I'm willing to throw pie: apple or chocolate?)

I can easily see him wandering around the caribbean/oceans/world for a very long time, maybe not even noticing how much time is passing - as the scenery keeps changing in his travels - not realizing just how old he is until Will Turner crosses his path with an accusing "Who pulled you from the depths this time?"

Guh, you've just reminded me that I should really work on the Highlander/POTC crossover I spent so much time checking Highlander timelines for. Definitely goes AU after CotBP. Been trying to work on original stuff for some time now, maybe getting back into fic for a bit will help get the original stuff flowing better.

I've LOVE to see a game of Liar's Dice between Q and Jack!Q! :)
