Title: "Heroes Among Us"
Rating: PG for slashy thoughts
Characters: J and E, with some imagined J/W
Disclaimer: I do not own these characters, nor do I profit from their portrayal. I do not own this situation/idea, as I was inspired by another writer (see note below).
Summary: CotBP-era, Jack and Elizabeth on the island after Jack passes out.
A/N: Written for the
potc100 prompt "Heroism." Inspired by
florencia7's "Why the Rum Was Gone" that you can find at
blackpearlsails here. Hopefully reading both will tickle people of all persuasions (and if you read the other drabble, please leave the writer positive FB).
Dark hair with threads of gold … melting brown eyes … youthful, determined, spirited.
Kissing him.
Jack welcomed it. Plenty of dreams about sea beasties come to eat him, not enough about young beauties having a taste of the legend. His dream-fingers itched to reach up and grab, but even asleep, he heroically restrained himself.
His tongue was not so restrained. “Mmmm,” he managed around those lips. “Hrrmmm … William …”
The kissing stopped. Jack chewed at empty air, licked his lips, then rolled over with a snort.
He wondered why he awoke to burning rum and a testy strumpet.

Date: 2008-11-25 07:19 am (UTC)Very funny. I'd love to see Elizabeth confess this to Will, and then explain why she stopped!

Date: 2008-11-25 02:11 pm (UTC)I wonder how Will spent that night...hmm...
As to this drabble alone, well, you've always had a knack at doing the fill-in-scenes where the films seem to be lacking, and you've done that again :)
edit: looks like more coffee is required ._O

Date: 2008-11-25 02:41 pm (UTC)Thanks for reading - it was fun to read, then write, and took my mind off much less pleasant RL for a few minutes.

Date: 2008-11-25 09:56 pm (UTC)And coupled with the original, it makes for a delightful "what if" for all three characters.
A taste of the legend, sounds yummy to me!

Date: 2008-11-26 12:57 pm (UTC)I liked the idea of Elizabeth getting taken down a peg in this particular situation.
Ah, Will ... he is so very dreamable (I'm pretty sure that's not a word, lol).
