Are they serious?

This cat has to be sedated. Or possibly Superglued to the thing. If one of my cats was within ten feet of this and the motor whining, they'd be hanging upside down from the ceiling. Really.

When our Roomba worked (it's now a POS), Munch would hide behind the closest piece of furniture and watch its every move. LOL

My cousin has a cat that will ride around in his kid's motorized dump truck - it just sits in the back and is all, "Whad'up?" Totally hilarious but we always ask him if he's certain it's a real cat.

Speaking of cute cat stories...

I just came across this one on one of the Ravelry boards:

"

Heard the cutest story from a patient and just had to share.

A friend’s little girl had been begging for a kitten of her very own for a while, so her folks decided she could have one of a litter that the patient and his wife had. But they did NOT tell their little darling.

On Halloween, the little darling finished up her trick-or-treating, with the last stop being the patient’s house as he and the parents were friends. When the child held open her bag to receive her last treat, a fluffy kitten was lowered into the bag. The child stared down into the bag in disbelief–then quickly shut it.

As the adults sat around talking, the child would periodically open the bag to peek in. Her parents would ask, “you’re awful quiet–what did you get?”

Each time the girl would shut the bag with a snap and announce “Nothing”. She wasn’t admitting anything lest Mom and Dad take away the very best treat!"

Our cat hides when you even just pull the vacuum out of the closet. She hates it.

Our dog barks at it.

My cats have a deep suspicion of the broom, too. IT HAS NO MOTOR.

OMG! That, is completely awesome.

Zen kitteh iz zen! There is a little tail action right at the beginning then nothing, kitteh even gives a bit of a 'is this all' kind of look midway through.

Most of the cats I know would be up on the ceiling with yours.

My very first cat loved being vacuumed. She'd lay there and let herself be hoovered up and down with the drapery attachment. She particularly liked the part where her tail would get sucked up the hose.

She was...unique.

And she probably would have loved the Roomba, too.

One of my cats would love that! She's so stupid she would just sit there and let it run into her until you put her on it.

As I said earlier tonight, my cats would kill me if I ever got a Roomba! :)

It was just waiting for the brush to come out. It usually only comes out when the roomba is in a tight corner.

My cat goes into the basement when Robert the Roomba comes out. She hates it. But my cockatiels sometimes sing to it.

Please note - the Roomba has the cat's toy.

There is a fur mouse lying on the Roomba right in front of the cat. Fur mice are enough to convince any cat that the spinny thing is evil and must be stopped. The video stops before you see the cat knocking the Roomba over on its back like a turtle. Cat trots away with its fur mouse and tail in the air.

*cackles madly*

That sounds like something Sylvester would do ... not so sure about "scared of my own shadow" Frank, though he's bigger ...

That's adorable. And, yeah, when my cats used to hear the first squeak of the vacuum's wheels they'd make a mad dash for their hidey holes. Though I've heard that if you start on them young enough, there's almost no limit to what a cat can get used to (I'm just not sure I believe it, even with this 'proof').

Sylvester might attack one, but Frank would be in the next county ...
