This is no time for pussyfooting around and agreeing for the sake of getting along. We are in two wars and if this nation doesn't wake up in the next two months, we're going to be in MORE. Sarah Barracuda's made it clear in her ABC News interview she has no qualms about going to war with Russia over Georgia, Iran over Israel, or Pakistan. John McCain has stated if we're at war 100 more years, well, that's just ducky. Further war WILL break this country, financially, morally, and ethically - and those of you who are in favor of religion running the government had better start thinking how you're going to fare when the state religion is no longer Chrisitianity.

Sirs.

(Note: If you're like my sister and this is not playing Keith Olberman of MSNBC, click on the "comment" to go into the post itself and it should play, she said. I have no idea if anyone else is experiencing that problem; but just in case.)

Man, that guy is intense. But he's got a real point. I'm glad I'm not into politics to a great degree because if I saw that "tribute" he was talking about, I would have thrown up. I have kept myself away from the footage of the attack all these years and I don't plan on seeing it now. I remember sitting in my classroom and listening to the radio as the action unfolded. I'll never forget what I heard and, being a New Yorker, I'll never forget the sheer terror on the faces of my friends, classmates, and teachers when they think about relatives that were supposed to be in the city at that time. To exploit that kind of footage is not just opportunistic, it's a form of torture.

You know, apparently liberals have been referred to as "The Angry Left." Well, I'll just say this: We'll stop being angry, if you stop being hypocrites. Deal?

Thanks for posting the video. =D

There's a reason for that.

That's not even the worst thing we've been called. It amazes me how many people are frightened of even a little higher education.

I wish I'd seen the tribute he mentioned. Was it broadcast on the major networks, anyone know? I should watch this again 'cause I was so gobsmacked that someone has the balls to bring McCain & the Repuke-Agains to task that I wasn't sure what he meant - did the clips include pictures of people jumping, people lying smashed on the sidewalk? It's the fear mongering propaganda hard at work again.

McCain is a wolf in sheep's clothing, do not think for one minute he is going to change anything if he and his lapdog get elected. The Republican machine will not allow it. They've enjoyed too much raping and pillaging of America - her values, her economy, her resources - to let it go now.

BTW, anyone wonder why so many Republicans are evangelicals? People who are extremely religious are highly susceptible to suggestion. That's why the fear mongering works so well on them.

They broadcast the video as a "tribute" during the convention. I haven't watched it either (can't stomach it) but I heard its quite offensive.

And I agree Olberman belongs away from the anchor desk. He's got a lot to say and is more effective in an editorial role.

See, this is why Keith shouldn't be an anchor, because then he can't do stuff like this. I saw that video (not live, but online, and with Olbermann's on-air apology) and it was truly sickening. I'm so tired of the Republican Party's Hell House.

You have to start at the bottom and work your way through the "objective" stuff in this business before they let you tell people what you think. *G* I figure I have another 15-20 years yet.

I really don't enjoy making people angry with disagreement (angry because of something they didn't already know, now that's another story). But these things need to be said, either to find agreement, inform, or get a repudiation of facts with better facts.

I found your journal through giselleslash, and I think I love you. Sorry, I didn't mean for that to sound stalker-ish. You are very passionate in your views, and I find that very refreshing. I love Keith Olberman. I used to always watch his show, until my stupid cable company decided that MSNBC needed to be on digital cable, not the regular cable I have.

May I friend you?? I would love to keep up with your postings.

Sure. They're not always about politics, but go for it!
