Stripped

Earlier tonight (well, last night), me, my sister, dahlianna, the_dark_snack, and beldar went downtown to see Eddie Izzard's "Stripped" tour live at the Murat Theatre. After his two-hour show, we waited along with about a couple hundred other people at the stage entrance for about an hour (passing the time by enjoying the passing parade of prom-goers leaving the other part of the theater ... and who undoubtedly wondered what the hell all us old people were doing waiting like a bunch of fucking groupies for the Stones, LOL). The Sister managed to get a few photos on her camera phone, so don't expect great quality below the cut ...



(The Pike High School is a joke we haven't figured out how to spin just yet *G* - ideas are welcome.)


Eddie finally coming out to greet his public. He signed something for everyone who wanted an autograph (I had my ticket signed, since I had nothing else on me - I'll get a small frame for it soon and hang it up).












The Sister had nothing for him to sign - so she turned her purse into a canvas and he put his John Hancock on that (no, it will probably NOT be going up on eBay, LOL):

The gay bar was awesome! And raiding the bathroom for the safe sex kits was just good fun. Of course the best part was when we got to the show and the security guy asked to check our bags for video cameras. I very willingly let him see, telling him loudly that the only thing I had were prophylactics from the gay bar.

But Ver ruined my good fun by not letting me pass one with my number on it down to the Sam Winchester look-alike. I would've checked for ID first!! (of course, I'd lay money the kid wasn't more than about 16. I just liked to imagine him a little older...and named Sam....with an older brother named Dean...who liked to share....... *wanders off to happy place*)

Did he do the TIE-GRR bit? And Wikipedia on the iPhone? I never knew what the show we got was called. It was just OMG EDDIE to me. I'd assume it was the same one.

Yes, he did all of that - two hours' worth. My only complaint was how dark it was and how far away the stage lighting was, my eyes started to defocus after about 90 minutes ...

Actually, the gayboys were at the gay bar and restaurant about a mile from the theater. And our waiter was a real sweetheart; you come visit, I'll take you there!

Yeah, he probably wouldn't have come to the South. Yay Midwest! *G*
