Lord, the legs HURT. It's been a long number of years since I waitressed, and my feet are not used to being stood on, run on, and used for that many hours in a row anymore so much. I stripped the bed, ran laundry back and forth to the clubhouse a few times, vacuumed and swept the floors, did dishes, cleaned the bathroom, changed the litterbox, cleaned up the house, and went on two trips to the vet because I only have one carrier. The new cat, Frank (Sylvester and Frank ... anyone but me? anyone? HAHA?) - or as he prefers to be called, the cat formerly known as Kitty, Kitty - had all kinds of shots and now he has a nice collar and his tag and some Advantage on his ruff (THANK GOD GOODBYE FLEA BASTARDS) and in a couple of weeks or so he'll be minus two balls and I will be AGAIN significantly lighter in the pocketbook.

Neutering sure has become more expensive since the last time I had to have it done. WHOA. There ought to be some sort of Good Citizen's Discount for taking in a stray and seeing to his well-being, good grief. *headshake* But at least he lets me pet him now and is eating a good diet and not passing as much gas. (There is no worse smell than cat poop or farts, in the animal kingdom.)

Munch has some nasty farts! What is up with that? She also prefers to do it on the rare times that she's on my lap with her ass pretty much in my face.

Eugh. One of my cats does that as well. And another one, every time you pick her up it seems to squeeze a putrid fart out of her.

What do their little bodies do to food to make their farts and poop so rank?!

Seriously? I'm not supposed to comment on that? You do this kind of stuff on purpose right before I have to depend on you for a bed and shelter for a week. Oh well...Super 8 accepts credit cards... *G*

So, when *was* the last time you had to be neutered?

Are you neutering at the vet? It seems there was an animal-rescue type place that did it cheap around here (and it was not, technically, a vet). 'Course, that's been 10 years ago...

Sylvester and Frank? (Frank makes me thing MST3K. But the two of 'em together? I got nothin'.)

And lol at the "Kitty, Kitty." The cat I have left is still Kitty-kitty. It's all she would ever even twitch for.

Here's to hoping Frank appreciates you. *raises glass* May he only ever sh*t outdoors.

Aww man, nobody knows the names of the Stallone brothers but me? I'm disappointed! You're of the age, too! ;-)

"You're of the age, too!"
Hence the forgetfulness. ;-)

Seriously though, I know I've seen Sly's brother in one or two really bad SciFi movies - he looks and acts badly very much like his brother - but I would never have come up with his name. (You know, now that I'm thinking about it, I believe it was an MST3K send-up of one of his movies that clued me in to the fact that Sly Stallone had a brother. *snort* So I was close with my first answer. lol.)

Oops! Wrong emphasis.

Call the local Humane Society, you should be able to get a low-cost neuter.

Get a good quality canned food like Wellness or Wysong which don't have fillers like grains and protein substitutes like gluten, also a known allergen.

Why the Stallone brothers??

See, the problem is that Frank needs a blood draw so he can get his leukemia shot, too. And he won't hold still for that unless he's knocked out, and it might be just as easy to do it all at once. But I will call the HS this week and see how much cheaper it is - might be worth the difference.

I don't have any particular love for the Stallones; I just thought there aren't many names you can use in conjunction with Sylvester that are kind of unusual. *G*

I agree with you ONE HUNDRED PERCENT on the cat fart issue.

Congrats on the cat! I love cats, but unfortunately as I grew up, I became horribly allergic to them.
