Am looking at buying a car; this is like the fourth one I've looked at in any seriousness. I like it, but the insurance gags like a 14" boner. (Some of you know my feelings about the insurance industry - not the worker bees, just the industry.) What's funny is if I keep my current car in addition to buying the newer one, instead of trading it in, I'd actually save $7 a month on insurance. (I should note that my current car is 12 years old and has almost 170,000 miles; I'm not sure what they'll give me on it yet.)
*boggles*
2005 Chevy Impala, V6, 54,000 miles, sticker price $11,900. Here's hoping I can get them down ...

Date: 2008-03-06 08:36 pm (UTC)Have you been to a Saturn dealer? I know in your experience with my car they are smallish. I think they make a v6 now though. Mine is a 16 valve & average hwy/city gas mileage is 32 MPG. Also, what about a 0% financing option, which may be available on some new models?
My next car will be a new one if I can get a 0% financing deal, unless there's some way they rook people with that. Haven't really looked in to it but I'd rather pay 19,000 on the whole car, than 14K on the car + 5K in financing 'cause I've always had to finance for 5 years.
