The omnipresent cynic in me says Sure, those cheerers could be Dem Party ringers to make the crowd look bad on camera. But then I'm reminded of the last debate, in which the entire audience clapped loud and long when it was pointed out how many prisoners Texas has put to death. And I almost have to take this one on face value; there are just some actual mean bastards.
(I thought nothing could rattle jaded me. But, what do you know; I still have a soul, after all these years. Huh.)
