A friend is going to try to start blogging about the topic of bullying.

I know some of you have opinions on the topic - if you'd like to check out her first entry on the subject, you can read it here. This is something she's pretty passionate about, and she might not mind your ideas for future entries on the topic.

I'm almost to the middle of this book by Stephen King (well, I'm cheating and listening to the unabridged audio version since my sister downloaded it for me last year - and at this rate, it's going to take me approximately 1,019 more years to finish listening to it, since it's around 35 hours long).

Has anyone else read or listened to it, who might want to discuss any of it here - either on its own as a story or as a political allegory? Don't worry, I looked up spoilers online. I didn't mind, since with King the outcome is not often in much surprise anyway.

I haven't read a King novel in nearly 20 years, I'll bet. I started reading his books when I was 11 and caught up on all his early ones, which I really liked. And then he got into writing touchy-feely middle-aged prose and I lost interest. But I'd heard "Under the Dome" was pretty good, so I thought I'd check it out.

In other news, ugh. Two-and-a-half hours of sleep. I was excessively tired, but when I got into bed, I just laid there like wet cod. So, I got up at like 3 a.m. to finish writing something for work for an hour and STILL had problems getting to sleep when I went back to bed. Just have to finish the day and then I can take a nap with kitties. Provided they'll stay still long enough.
