Summary: Rimmer tells his niece the story of how he realized Lister was the one for him. (Set in my own AU following Machine in the Ghost; can be read as a standalone, though.)
Feedback: Is welcomed. This is just something I whipped up in a couple of hours this afternoon. No beta; I just felt like writing and posting fanfic this weekend. :-)

diminua was inspired to write a fic based on this, Off and On the Shelf Again. Her Lister is adorable and the interaction with Rimmer is so canonical. Go read!
