crafty food, take two
Jul. 8th, 2010 09:29 amI finally finished shaping the rest of the bulls and horses for the cupcakes I'm making, as per my last journal entry. I baked cupcakes last night; tonight I have to frost them with "grass" and get the animals to stay ON them, since they're kind of heavy. I hope the cupcakes can support their mass. If worse comes to worse, I'll just stick a toothpick or two through each animal to anchor it to the cupcake.
The bulls are largely done; they just need some chocolate eyes and spots and tail-tips. I might color their little horns too. I added ears, tails and flat cowlicks to what I did a couple of days ago (you can also sort of see the holes I made for eyes and the nostrils):

The horses will require a bit more as I add them to the cupcakes. I've decided not to make legs for them; I'm going to treat them like the bulls with "tucked under" because I don't think there's room on the cupcakes. I need to put colored bridles on them, as well as colored manes and tails and eyes, and add nostrils.
More later!
