better use of pirates than history

Last night was a great time with area friends at the Italian restaurant, with fellow birthday boy beldar (whose big day was yesterday!). As we've done for the past two years, we had a pirate-themed party where people dressed up and drank enough to make the crew of the Black Pearl proud. We introduced our meal with a brief Pastafarian service homage to the Flying Spaghetti Monster and followed with rum cake (and yours truly picked up a lovely Indian tea box and Turrow-themed nightlight from friends). Huzzah!
