POTC drabble: "Beach"
Apr. 28th, 2009 11:53 pmTitle: "Beach"
Rated: PG
J/W implied
Disclaimer: I do not own these guys or the ships. I couldn't afford to maintain any of them!
Summary: Well, they did stab the heart together. Jack seeks a loophole with Calypso, one decade post-AWE. Some humor.
A/N: Thanks to
gryphons_lair and
metalkatt for the idea. 100 words for the
jackwill prompt "reflection" - also a qualifier of sorts for
potc100's "new worlds" prompt. (I'm all about efficiency!)
Upon (frequent) reflection, Jack wondered if he could’ve tied the damn blade into Will’s hand, then stood back and sort of gestured toward Jones’s oversized heart.
It wasn’t like he knew he’d be signing himself up for rotating 10-year stints as the Dutchman’s captain when he’d helped Will live.
Still. That bitch Calypso appearing out of nowhere on one’s beloved ship and informing one he had to make ready to trade off for a decade was a capital way to ruin a good drunk. Wickedly, he’d slurred the only thing he could think:
“Can th’ captains share their one day?”
