Some pretties for the fannish

Recently somebody asked me about screencaps I used to use for the caption and discussion challenges I would post at potc_discussion and for some icons, and I thought if ye olde f-list didn't already know about these, they might enjoy having access too. You can find bunches here - this page is the beginning of AWE, but if you scroll to the bottom, you'll see links for CotBP and DMC, too, as well as screencaps from DVD "extras."

I don't know the specific person to credit for doing this. If any of you do, let me know. I know, anyone can do screengrabs, it's not original art, but it takes time and effort to do and post and keep up a website to host them.

Yes, I'm talking to the GOP. The Senate, specifically.

NOW you're concerned about where taxpayer dollars are going? NOW? Hundreds of billions, into trillions, of dollars into a goddamn war WE DID NOT NEED TO GET INTO THAT MANY OF YOU GLADLY APPROVED? But not a fraction of that toward saving a major last manufacturing industry in your own country?

Well ... at least not without taking down those greedy union laborers with you, huh? Are you all so shit-all stupid that you BELIEVE these workers are actually making $70 an hour in wages and benefits? They *might* be making half that, if you add in all their health insurance, retirement options, 401(k), etc. Do you know the pensions workers who were on the line for 30, 40 years are getting? (Hint: It ain't anywhere NEAR $70 an hour. Or even $35.) Do you know what kind of health insurance they get? Do you know what will happen when their spouses are diagnosed with a serious illness and the insurance runs out because the fucking company NO LONGER EXISTS??

Are you fucking kidding me? Did any of you go to college, or maybe even pick up your high school history book? Do you understand ANYTHING about the creation of labor unions, the need for them, and how they've benefited workers who have never even been in a union over the last century-and-a-quarter?

There's a reason your party was voted out, motherfuckers. I for one cannot WAIT to see your asses kicked out of D.C. in a little over a month. In fact, just fucking LEAVE NOW.

Fic comments

So, I posted a fic with comments disabled. I tried it for a few days. Found out I like the comments. Whether I get 5 or 20, I'm always glad with the FB people leave (and I would feel weird reading a story that had no chance for me to comment if I wanted).

So I'm reenabling on the J/W-W/E story. (Hey, it was a good experiment. Not every experiment gives you the results you want, just what you need to know. *G*) Nobody has to comment. Just in case you come across it sometime and think Wait, did I imagine that? Nope, you're sane. Or if you were just curious how it turned out for the Crazy Woman. I love my fannish back and forth, up and down, in and out, bump and grind ...
