I'm trying to verify this through an actual news agency, but if the website is legitimate, I see no reason this press release shouldn't be, since it's on there.
(It's the Westboro Baptist Church - supposedly - under the guidance of one Fred Phelps, planning a picket of Heath Ledger's funeral. I would most emphatically say these are NOT work-safe ... but then again, I would rather open a page of gay porn at my workplace than flash these words around. Also, it's kind of slow-loading for both.)
If you don't want to click, basically, this "pastor" and "congregation" are supposedly (again, verification is key - if anyone has a respectable news backup for this, let me know) planning to picket the funeral because of "Brokeback Mountain." Now it's nasty enough to picket a dead guy for having been gay (!!), but to picket one who was only doing his job and playing a gay man? That just showcases their natural stupidity and disassociation with reality (and I thought there were people in fandom who had a hard time telling the difference between fantasy and reality when it comes to characters).
Oy.
