I am too nice ...

I really need to take up original writing again, seriously and for true. Dabbling in fanfic is fine and good, but it's a bitch when you're making the effort to figure out a way to write stuff so all the characters are fairly treated, and you see some other writer disregarding shit left and right to achieve a simple plot point they're after. Or possibly, I'm just tired of reading certain kinds of fic at this point. I need to write this one idea I have with metalkatt, but work on something else, too. Might help me better with the work writing as well.

(And no, for the record, it's not J/E this time and I'm not going to say what it is. I'm just generally sick of poor characterizations in the name of romance. I'm about this close to agreeing with a certain person on my f-list, and giving up on reading het at all.)
