REPOST: A word about grace

Fandom's really good to look at as a microcosm of larger "community" and how to get along - not to agree, not to always be quiet and peaceful, but how to get *along*. (I've suspected for a while that what people tend to get pissed about in relation to each other's opinions isn't really the movies/shows/books they're disagreeing over, but what their preferences imply about their own values and how questions of that affect how they see themselves and those values.) To that end, I promise I'll do my level best in the next ... however long, to mind my own suggestion and NOT be an asshole. Or at least not too much of one.

*imagines self staring at screen several days down the road mentally chanting I will not reply. I will not reply. I will NOT reply.
