So I have a new job and some insurance and less traffic, and the weather is improving. All good stuff.
The water heater for my apartment building went out a few days ago and the maintenance crew said they replaced it today. There's still no hot water for me. I haven't had a shower in three days, washing my hair in restroom sinks and taking spitbaths. On top of this, apparently the water feeder into my toilet tank has stopped delivering, so I now have to manually fill the damn thing every time I want to flush, which takes about five minutes or so.
I've lived here two weeks, I have no hot water, a toilet on the blink, boxes of books I can't unpack because I can't afford a bookshelf just yet, no full paycheck for another two weeks, no friends because I didn't know anyone when I moved here, and I haven't yet found the library. AND I miss the variety of restaurants in the big city I used to live in, and this place is Podunk.
My head hurts.
