Political year filk song!
Apr. 18th, 2004 01:00 amOne of my absolute favorite movies of all time is the animated Disney version of "Robin Hood" - you know, the one with animals as the characters of the legend? Foxes as Robin and Marion, a bear as Little John, lions as Prince John and King Richard, etc.
Watching it tonight while munching on a burrito from Taco Bell, two of the songs really struck me rather hard upside the head (such a thing is good for me on occasion) as being PERFECT to filk (parody) for the current condition of the U.S. breadwinner. Many of the words don't even need to be changed ...

And besides, Sir Hiss reminds me just a bit too much of Cheney ...
