The DVD is out in some parts of the world already, and I was reading a scan of part of the box in someone's journal. (I won't say who they are just in case they don't want anyone to know, or get swamped - unless they give me explicit permission for a link.) Since this person has posted a link to their entry in a discussion community, I feel safe in now providing the direct link if you haven't yet seen it.

Two interesting things:

First question: What does the future hold for Will and Elizabeth? Now that he's captain of the Flying Dutchman, is she going to wait for him? Answer: True love never dies, but their story is yet to be told.

Second: Since Will honored his destiny on the Flying Dutchman, in 10 years does he get to return to land for good, thereby freeing his father and crew? Answer: Every 10 years, Will may step on land for one day. He is bound to the Flying Dutchman forever.

There are a few others, too. I don't know if these are on the U.S. DVD, but I'm betting they are. Be interesting to see what fandom reaction is to these (especially that second one, given the writers' insistence on the "only 10 years' service" thing) ...

I heard the T&T theory is glitch in editing, let's says it's the Dutchman crew being freed (Of course, that THEN doesn't explain why Bootstrap can be aboard and Lizzie can)...so...it HAS to be James. (hey, it's a Disney movie! Sperm doesn't exist, and the stork...well, no green flash for it) Lalalala denial is my friend!

Oh yes, that's a lovely idea. Split the Lizzie series from the rest, so the poor Liz fans aren't bothered with the unimportant stuff. The unimportant stuff featuring Jack, Barbossa, and a resurrected James. Will can guest star. *cough* well, I supposed he'd have to feature in the Liz show's pilot, before he's moved to the lesser show...

Freed crewmen wouldn't be going to the Other World on the Dutchman, just as Liz can't in the movie. They wouldn't have been able to make the extended journey any more.

My point exactly.

Ergo green flash must be James. *points to icon*

Or, the freed crew are dropped off at Shipwreck Cove along with Lizzie. ^_^()

Sorry, edit feature is not available to me...but in the case of Bootstrap, he's not set free given admitted debt to Will.

Since they're all fish-free LONG before the green flash, they don't need it. (well, seriously - one can pretty much do anything with them without any need for green flashes. So they can't go hogging 'em when my Navy pretty needs it ;) )

^_^() I'm not trying to steal the green flash from James. Lord knows, he needs it more. Just saying that fish free =/= unbound from the Dutchman, or else Bootstrap and his beloved starfish were denied a beautiful reunion scene.

ROFL! I am just imagining that...romantic background music, the starfish hesitantly approaching, then they hug, and it reattaches itself with a loud sucking noise....

OK, too visual, too visual...

*points to icon and whistles most innocently*

Of course, Bootstrap could give the starfish to Liz, as a sort of wedding gift form daddy-in-law...who knows where it might attach itself...

*tries mightily to resist, face turns red, sweat pours off, before giving in just for the sound of it said out loud*

TO THE BURNING COOTER!
