A... relative... of mine, born just on the other side of the border, has lived in Canada for 35 years before realising we had a democracy. "But, why do you think they sent me voter registration? And remember taking me to the polling station?"
Mom thought Prime Minister Trudeau was a rock star but that was understandible since he was made of awesome and had actual herds of fangirls who would run after him and knit him naughty campaign sweaters.
I hear many of your lot think we're a bunch of commies.

No, no, not communists! Only socialists, on account of this weird idea you have that everybody including kids and poor people, should have access to decent health care.
(And if my tongue were any further into my cheek, it'd be poking out the other side.)
I'm thinking someone needs to edit the PotC wiki. It says Will was based on a video game character who's greatest talent is holding his breath for 10 minutes or something like that- but who is otherwise entirely inept and scrawny lookin'.
Dreyfuss made a great point abut teaching civility, unfortunately he's a bit of a windbag.
If you really want to hear/watch an actor with some very astute political observations, find last week's season finale of Bill's show for Ben Affleck. I have been impressed by him before on Maher's show, but this time he let it all out. He needs to run for office in another decade or so. No kidding. He'd be 100 times better as a politician than he is an actor.
Oh, wait. He actually thinks. He should stay away from politics then. Maybe run for California governor, but nothing national. That kills brain cells.
