The cable Internet in my apartment has now gone completely out, so I have no service at home until the management company for the complex gets off its collective ass and authorizes replacement of lines. There are no DSL providers in town. There is one other phone company (which does not offer Internet). And the DirecTV people can't get a signal from behind my apartment.

So, I have no Internet service at home.

artic_fox, if you read this, I will do my best to mod on occasion from work, but frankly, you might need to seek another U.S. mod who can help you out better.

I really want to cry, but I've already done that. I'll just be going home now and donning my poodle skirt and pearls, and make dinner for someone, since I'm apparently stuck in 1952 there.
