Feel free to comment and speculate all you like - I want it remembered when you see 1:57 that *I* was the first person to speculate back last July that this might happen to Will. Doesn't mean I like it, but at least I won't be wailing and gnashing my teeth if it's what I think it is.

I want to know what Elizabeth says to Jack and what he replies at around 1:20 (I think that's the time - you'll KNOW what scene I mean). Damn, I love the confused look on her face and the snark on his! I hope he's telling her to fuck herself, and hard, because he won't.

Will - oh, WILLIAM. Damn, boy. The hitting and the fighting and the GRABBING for the kiss ... sonofagoddamnbitch. Makes me proud to be a Will woman, yes it does. *G*

Yay! Thanks for that. It's kinda funny - and I also got that impression in that one scene - it sounded as though Jack was mocking her.

And that one glance at James....the uniform is still ugly, but he can wear it.

OH I'm so pleased Tia Dalma appears to be actually accompanying them on their voyage! And that Will has once again gotten himself tied up to something. Love that man.

Damn it, the trailer editing has suckered me in again, and I'm quite convinced this movie will be the KEWLEST THING EVAR LIEK OMG. .. Syncing up the BGM to sword clangings are bound to do that, I guess. Tsk.

Hmm, interesting. Looking forward to the english version. I may even have to download that whole 'pirate player' thing, I won't be around tomorrow evening, and would be completely unable to force myself to sit through 'Dancing with the Stars' for anything, even Will. *hangs head*

Found a couple of rough-weird-plausible translations for this, so onto speculation and random jabber.

One thing that makes me ridiculously happy is the fact that somewhere, somehow the whole Elizabeth killing Jack gets brought up, better yet, by Jack, in a (seemingly) bitchy manner. I had this strange, sick feeling that it would just disappear, although it does give Jack (T&T) a solid out in the great 'who gets stuck with Elizabeth' sweepstakes.

Also if Elizabeth does say to Jack 'it would have never worked between us'. Total call back to CotBP, and yes, Darling, he did mention that before. You silly bunt.

I'm not sure why Will needs to ask Elizabeth to marry him again, didn't she already say yes? But never-the-less, what looks like a big smooch in the middle of a battle, um yeah, that even kills dear little old pragmatic me.

The individual moments 1:57 and 2:10, as you know not completely sold on that spoiler (but if it happens, I will not rest until you get at least a portion of T&T's paycheck for this thing, 'cause seriously, if these two highly paid hacks can't come up with a twist for #3 that the more intelligent members of fandom had pegged within hours of #2, they certainly didn't earn their keep). But the bandanna kills me, seriously and the other, almost makes me squee.

I don't think it's Elizabeth's comment the SBers are excited about - it's Jack's reply, which I guess could be taken as he's carrying a torch for her and is all "you keep telling yourself I'm not for you, yeah, whatever."

Either way, I am alternately sympathetic to a group of fans who would like to see played out their preferred ending (who doesn't?), and a touch nasty in response to the sheer condecension and smugness that has come out of that camp over the past several months toward those of us less than enthused about the fucking-up of the well-working threesome dynamic just for another tired old het love triangle. Where in the hell are the Twins being cutting-edge, anyway? I don't see it.

On first viewing, (it's gone now) Jack's reaction seems similar to the way he looked when she chained him to the 'Pearl', and as we've discussed, that ain't all that friendly, but, as also discussed, that is not necessarily the 'broader' view. So it does give the 'masses' hope.

The stupid love triangle thing drives me up completely nuts, absolutely no originality there at all. Again, lazy bastards.

And while, like you, I have a complete sympathy for people wanting things to end a certain way (God knows I would like to see some specific things happen!) there will definitely be no small amount of smugness if things don't end J/E.
