I have discovered to my dismay that I am frighteningly obsessed with getting to watch the Oscars tonight; worse, I am bopping up and down in place with the idea that Johnny might actually win something (which is more than he cares about the award himself, I am certain).

I got to bed VERY late this morning after writing SweetPirateSmut and woke up four hours later after a dream of someone calling me to ask if he'd won. I actually woke up because I was afraid I'd missed the show!

Of course, part of it may be that I get to go to a friend's house and drink while we watch it, and that's always a fun thing ... :-P

Me too! I swear, anything that gets in my way of TV watching tonight is going to be very sorry. I'm going to have a lot of fun tonight, so bad I don't get to drink.

The Critics say that Sean Penn is going to win, but honestly, he might not. My feelings are if anyone other then Johnny Depp or Bill Murrey Win I will be very upset.

Oddly, I've forgotten who's hosting. Who's hosting? *looks around*

I hope you report on what you think of the show and everything in here because I, unfortunately, live in dormatories at university and am thus without television and hence cannot watch.

I had a good time watching the show, namely because it's the first time in a long time that I've had a *reason* to enjoy it. There was much anticipation and Johnny's nomination gave him a genuine chance, what with the appearance of the SAG award last week. (I'm willing to bet there was close to a three-way tie among him, Sean and Bill.)

If nothing else, he looked extremely good in his new hairdo and clean-shaven face, and it was clear he was surprised by the nomination itself, which was pleasant. He smiled the whole time and seemed to be enjoying what was going on around him, secure in the knowledge that he beat long-shot odds simply by being *nominated* in that category, for that role.
