I completely agree with you; there were blatant moments where it seemed as though the writers and/or director wanted to deliver the message: Jack Sparrow is straighter than a ruler! He will never be attracted to men! The scene that upset me the most was when Elizabeth was dressed as a boy, and she said: I'm here to find the man I love. And Jack's reaction (his motioning to Gibbs to get rid of the boy, and his comment) really bothered me.
The kissing scene between Jack and Elizabeth seemed to be more related to Elizabeth's plan to cuff him to the mast, and less about any real feelings towards him. So I'm not worried about any future J/E moments. It's a Disney movie, Will and Elizabeth HAVE to be together.
The ending; I nearly screamed. And I have the bite marks on my knuckles to prove how hard I attempted to stifle my cries of shock, horror, and fear.
I thought the humor in this movie was fantastic. Two thumbs up. Funnier in many ways, than the original; but I loved the two for different reasons. No favorite.
Sorry, that really wasn't quick at all. Eagerly awaiting POTC3!
