Amen. I am so tired of people smearing the unions. I didn't have a daddy to pay for my college -- my father was dead by the time I was 20 years old. What I *did* have was the portion of his 401K and pension set up in a trust for my education and two years of extended health benefits (medical, dental AND vision) from his employer. All of which were bargained for and secured BY THE UNION. Would August Busch III or August Busch IV have given that to me and my brother and sister out of the goodness of their hearts? I wouldn't have bet on it and neither did the people bargaining for the brewers, bottlers and truck drivers at Anheuser-Busch (thank god).
