We were staying with a friend in North Hollywood in 1999, in hopes of interviewing some famous folk for articles, and she took us to Rodeo Drive to shop. We ate lunch at this little place in Beverly Hills after; it was terribly expensive (though at the time I knew a lot less about the world and in retrospect, the prices weren't SO high). For dessert we each ordered this little Belgian chocolate cake filled with Belgian mousse - to this day it was the best chocolate I've ever had. I wish I could remember the name of the place; I'd recommend it to tourists.
