veronica_richHaven't heard much on my f-list about the Dubai Ports World buyout that would give them security access to major U.S. ports. Questions I haven't seen posed by the major media (and maybe I'm just not reading/listening to the right reports; please feel free to share links) include:
Why has it been all right for the Bush administration to invoke the horrors of 9/11 every time it's been to their political advantage, but in light of this pending business transaction, it's not such a big deal?
How did the administration manage to link the jihad-fueled 9/11 to Iraq's secular regime, yet sees absolutely no link from 9/11 to the UAE, a creation that has been PROVEN to have a link with at least some of the 9/11 hijackers?
Who - or rather, how many - in this administration has a financial stake in Dubai Ports World and how much profit do they stand to realize with this sale and future business as a result of it? Nothing these people do or approve is nonprofit for themselves. NOTHING.
