My first response to that number was to think that there are probably 895 things I'd take back saying or doing if I could. The only problem is that in the same circumstances, I can see myself making some of the same mistakes, even knowing what I know now. That's because I can't see that chosing a different path would necessarily have had a better outcome. Different, maybe, but not better. And based on some of the emotional or practical imperatives that dictated choices at the time, I can't see making a better outcome. That doesn't mean that I wouldn't or shouldn't have made different choices, though.
