It reminds me of something that happened when I was briefly taking gymnastics. One of the girls who had been picked for the national development program had moved east to Toronto from her home somewhere out west. She lived with a family in one of the little cities on the outskirts of Toronto, and when they failed to pick her up one night, she was raped. I don't think she could describe who did it, but I've always had my suspicions. It's because of Bernardo, and the police mismanagement of the case, that my school chum K became a cop - for the provincial police, who were kept out of much of the investigations by local egos.
Although, I'm not sure I'd shit in my hand to prove my disdain ... Yeah, but maybe I'd take a dump in someone else's hand - just to give them more ammo, you understand.
