All kinds of new stories ...

All I have to say is, with all the bitching about "we just don't get the fanfics like the old days anymore in POTC!," there'd better be some traffic pretty damn soon at raise_the_dead to be reading the lovely stories already being posted for perusal. There are a total of 23 stories being posted today - some already up - that are CotBP-era and of MANY different persuasions. There's some genfic, pairing fic (J/N, J/W, W/E, N/G, even a couple of J/E, etc.), humor, angst - you name it. TWENTY-THREE stories, people.

I'll spam you every day if I have to!

Are people that unrealistic that they're upset a fandom that doesn't have any more new movies coming out and that had the last one/two movie(s) suck isn't getting more fics? Hell, at least they're getting fics! I'm in fandoms that the tv series/movies end and BOOM, no more anything.

I think it's more the fact that the fandom is overrun by one certain kind of fic and not as many variations as there used to be (or at least, that it used to feel like there was) that has people bummed out.

These are all a joy, and a testimonial that there is, indeed, lots of territory yet to be discovered, even if it's only CotBP! Spread it out to the sequels, and you only manage to triple the fun.

This has been torture! I am out of town, begging minutes on my son's computer, trying to sneak in all these wonderful stories, and not have my kids reading over my shoulder (!) so my comments have been sparse at best.

I will go back and leave proper feedback when I am able, but for how I can't tell you how exciting it is to have some new, GOOD, and diverse fics to read!

Being a fan of such shows such as X-Files and Tarzan, I'm very familiar with the feeling of having no, or very few, new fics to read. Compared to those, POTC hasn't hit that level yet. I was never so happy as when I discovered LJ and the plethora of new-to-me fics. :D

I think I saw that community mentioned elsewhere. Thanks for reminding me about it. :D I've been working my way through Pirategasm most recently.
