donations sought for sick dog

Athena is a very good dog, patient and uncomplaining. The past week, her eye has been leaking, and it was thought she just had allergies. Her owner took her to the vet thinking it might be a simple infection, and was told instead it's a melting ulcer in the eye, and possibly glaucoma. She takes good care of Athena, but her vet budget is pretty much gone on maintaining her as a diabetic; this is an added problem.
