Crappy news morning greeting
Jul. 20th, 2012 07:52 amThere's nothing like getting up early to walk and plugging your earphones in halfway through a news report on NPR with "shooting" and "fourteen dead" being tossed around and knowing you'll have to wait another 15 minutes to find out the front half of that. Colorado does not have a good track record with firearms, but I still wouldn't have expected this. Thanks to at least one unbalanced shitweasel, a bunch of people who just wanted to escape reality for a few hours will never get to go home, never get to talk about the movie with friends - never get to do anything again. I feel so sorry for their friends and families, and the injured people.
I hope none of you are among that number.
In other news, the HOT. One should not drown in their own sweat with a simple walk at 6:45 a.m. unless one lives in southern Florida or Ecuador, perhaps. GAK. Also, last night's ridiculous monsoon-like thunderstorm and green sky was wholly unnecessary - just rain a little less, more often, and we'd all be better off.
