I'm thinking of you guys today. (Well, the Democrat voting ones, anyway. Anyone who votes for Walker deserves what they keep getting ... but, everyone else will get it too, is the problem.)

I'm also thinking of [livejournal.com profile] gryphons_lair, for whom the recall petition was an important issue, and on which she expended some of her valuable dwindling energy during the last months of her life.

This has turned into more than a simple recall election; it also seems like a mandate on organized labor, one way or the other, whether you like it or not - and it's not just for Wisconsin, but effects will be felt in other states as well. To diminish the positives of organized labor based on Big Labor's overreaching corruption of the past is to throw the baby out with the bath water. People, you do not want to go back to what working and even social conditions were like for the common person before the advent of organized labor on the heels of the Industrial Revolution; you just don't. It doesn't matter if you're not part of a union or work in a job/profession where you don't usually have unions - if you're in a society that accepts unionized labor, you too benefit from the laws and policies such groups have lobbied for in the past.

Joey from "Friends." He's pretty easygoing, he'd have stories about his weird acting jobs to pass the time, he'd probably have a big sandwich he'd share, and I don't think he'd hit on me. (And if he did, he seems pretty easy to put off with a finger-snap and a sharp warning, LOL.)

Paramount put out a poster to celebrate its 100th anniversary, with very simple, iconic logos denoting its best-known movies for the years those movies were released. You can find the poster here - how many of the movies can YOU name?

I can name several, but I won't do it here and spoil anyone's fun. If you DO decide to name some movies in the comments, say what row it's in and what year it's over, at least, so others can see it for themselves if they like - i.e., "Titanic" for 1997 is in the very top row (OK, I just spoiled one for you, but come on, who doesn't know that one? LOL).
