really? THAT?
Oct. 13th, 2010 09:55 pmI'm watching last week's "Project Runway" and I'm trying to figure out two things:
1: I haven't watched all season, so this may be an obvious answer, but - why does everybody hate Michael? They all act like he raped their puppies twice; did he actually DO something bad? It's rare that there's a designer everybody else hates.
2: THAT'S Heidi Klum's line of clothing? REALLY? One of the judges was criticizing one of the designers' designs as something they wouldn't pay more than $10 for ... but I wouldn't wear anything that Heidi showed of her line outside of bed or running to the grocery store. I sure wouldn't pay $20 for it. If this is her idea of what "real" people want to shell out $30-$40 per piece for ... ewww. (Keep in mind I am not a designer or even an artist. I'm more of a writer. Can someone who's more of a visual or 3D artist explain what's so fashionable about jerseywear that hangs like a sack?)
I've decided I need more positive feedback in my life. I'm not sure how to get it, but I do need it. I live alone and am single, and I have two friends in the entire state in which I live (I do have other friends, but they're scattered in other states; this is what moving a few times and making online friends gets you *G*). (No offense to you, my two in-state friends; it's just that hardly anybody can thrive with only TWO friends they see regularly. Even you guys have other friends close by.)
I was eating lunch recently with my boss and his wife and there were a few times when one would forget something and the other would remember it, or one would say "this has to be done" and the other might volunteer to do it. And I was sitting there thinking This is part of why I feel tired and mentally blah sometimes; I have to remember and do EVERYTHING in my life. I can see why women approaching middle-age get married even if they can't find somebody decent enough to deserve it - they think it's going to make their lives easier and give them some personal security (note that I DO understand marrying someone who is suited to you and makes you happy). Not that I'M going to, but I see it.
I heard a song yesterday on Pandora that I really liked; mostly the music, but kind of the song itself too. It seems like a fanfic-inspirer, but ... geez, I hate a lot of angst and drama, honestly. I need humor in my fictional reading. Anyway, here's the song (just ignore the dialogue bit at the first; really, the only video I've seen pull that off well, like ever, was "Thriller"):
( hidden for to keep from dragging down your speed )
I've thought of a lot more things the past few days since I last posted, but I can't remember any of them now. Oh well, I suppose I can post again later - no law against it!
