Upon discussing the "Can't Smeg, Won't Smeg" featurette of Red Dwarf that featured Chef Ainsley Harriott from years ago, I told Nat that I wish Rimmer had taken on the Ace persona at the same time the Cat was Duane Dibley, so they could cook on the same team.

Me: Man, those two would make the best crack buddy cop movie EVER.

Nat: Is there some part of you that's an Ace/Duane buddyshipper?

Me: Yep. Not any slash, just genfic. Crazy shit.

Think about it: Duane's no coward, just a dork. And Ace is the Big Damn Space Hero. Imagine the adventures they could have protecting Davy Boy and Kryters from Space Evil!
